With top-shelf components and high-class 24-bit / 192 kHz converters, MBOX Studio gets you on track to sounding your best. Each mic preamp features Variable Z (adjustable impedance) to allow tonal tweaks right at the input stage, +48V phantom power for condenser mics, an input pad to prevent clipping loud sources, a rumble-reducing high-pass filter, and switchable polarity. Thanks to its built-in DSP, MBOX Studio delivers low-latency monitoring with real-time effects, ensuring optimal cue mixes for every tracking session.
When it comes to connecting your gear, MBOX Studio is stocked. There are four XLR-1/4" combo inputs for mics or line-level signals (two also support Hi-Z instruments), two extra dedicated 1/4" line inputs, and two FX loops in which the returns can be used as two more line inputs, pushing the total number of analog input channels to eight.
Use the Bluetooth input to wirelessly bring in audio from your smartphone for podcast call-in guests or A/B mix comparisons, even while using the Bluetooth output to stream your stereo mix to a Bluetooth speaker or headphones. 5-pin MIDI I/O is on the rear panel in case you need to hook up a synth, beat machine, or keyboard controller. Interconnecting digital equipment is always an option when you factor in the 10 channels of digital I/O—stereo S/PDIF coaxial and multichannel optical (up to 8-channel ADAT or 2-channel S/PDIF).
